Less Yesterday and More Today

The Life and Times of Chris Walbert

Simpsons Movie Premiere

That’s right folks. The day many have been awaiting for years is finally here. The Simpsons Movie releases this weekend, but I’ve managed to score a few premiere tickets for tonight at The Senator Theatre.

With all of the hype and well-executed marketing surrounding this movie, I’m sure everyone’s expectations are very high. Speaking of fantastic marketing, the collective genius at Crispin Porter Bogusky have outdone themselves on this campaign. Between converting several 7-11s into Kwik-E-Marts, SimpsonizeMe, and some great TV spots that promote the movie and Burger King, the marketing surrounding this movie has been well thought out and executed.

I even took the time to create my own Simpsons avatar. Here it is. I guess this is what I would look like if I ever made it onto the show.

Chris as a Simpson

I have to admit that this has not been the best week. However, I did get to see some great friends on Tuesday that I haven’t spent time with in quite a while, and tonight I’m going to enjoy this movie. So I guess the moral of the story is that life goes on and things work out how they are supposed to.

Here’s looking forward to great things from The Simpsons and a good, relaxing weekend.

Needs bigger Pectoral Muscles, and of course the Orange Mop.

What’s up with that?
